Saturday 1 December 9:45am Graves Park

Activity Sheffield, Sheffield City Council have worked with Run England to launch the brand new 321 routes in Sheffield at Graves and Norfolk Heritage Park. The permanently marked routes provide not only a fun and safe route to use taking your though some great areas but also a way to monitor progress and set challenges for yourself. So why not start the New Year resolutions early, regardless of whether you walk, jog or run your way round each location and inspire more people just like you to get more active, more often with the support from Activity Sheffield and Run England.

If you’re interested, please come along to the launch on Saturday 01 December 9.45 am at GravesPark (near the Rose Garden Café), bringing along friends and family.

The 321 routes can be accessed anytime following the launch.

If you would like something a little bit more than what these routes offer, as you need that weekly motivation  and encouragement from others why not try…..

Graves Park Run

Parkrun is a 5km (that’s 3 miles!) route that takes place every Saturday morning at 9am. People stroll, jog or run around the park taking in all the sites of this beautiful park.

If you want to give this a go then visit www.parkrun.org.uk (and mark Graves as your home run) – print off your own personal barcode, where you can see how your time improves as you get fitter.

Make a positive difference in your life…Choose Activity Sheffield!

Sheffield City Council has launched the “Heroes Welcome in Sheffield” scheme to give support, recognition and a little extra hospitality to armed forces personnel and their families. Local traders are being invited to offer members of the armed forces anything from a warm welcome to perhaps a little discount.

The scheme was launched by Councillor Clive Skelton at the Federation of Small Businesses’ networking event held at Costco Wholesale, Parkway Close, on Tuesday 13 November.

If you would like to know more about this scheme, click on the following link to the councils web-site: https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/in-your-area/armed-forces/pledge/heroes-welcome.html
